February 18, 1999Greetings! The semis for our team are being hosted at Mansfield. 10am start, so be there around 8:30ish, and that means meet at the peaks at 7:30 on Sunday morning. We will arrange all of the final logistics on Saturday, but it would make sense for some people to continue south to the big smoke while others head back up north. Congrats to Tanya, Andrew and Harrison who all participated in the Super-G on Monday. I haven't heard from Tanya and Harrison, but I know that Andrew finished in the top 20 (out of 85) so that's good! Tanya and Harrison - how did you do? See you on Saturday! Remember, bring your slalom gear. I'm planning on doing gates in the am, but I haven't heard for sure yet. I'll find out on Saturday at 8:30am... Tony February 5, 1999 second updateGreetings. Due to my case of the flu, Lauren's attendance at a wedding, and the Peaks' general lack of coaches, class for this Saturday is CANCELLED! The dinner is still a go, and Snowblades are still a go for Sunday afternoon. The way we will be making up for the missed class will be by taking 2 Sunday afternoons and turning them into classes. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may bring, but this is life. Once again, no class this Saturday, we will make up for it 2 afternoons instead, the first being this Sunday. The team dinner is still a go. Tony February 5, 1999Well, it seems as though I have come down with a very nasty case of the flu, and I won't be able to make it in on Saturday. Lauren won't be there either, but she will meet you at East Side Marios at 6. As for Sunday, I don't know if I'll be there yet, but Lauren will, and we still have the chance to do the snow blades in the afternoon. See you all soon. Tony February 3, 1999Greetings once again. I tried to get us some snowboards for the weekend, but the Slalom Gate couldn't get us any sort of deal - we'd have to pay full price, so I ditched that idea. They can give us snowblades for $5 for an afternoon - in particular, this Sunday afternoon. They're all booked during the morning and on Saturday. So, what do you think? Should we do it? Email me at tony@fieldco.com and let me know. I've also added the calendar of events to the site for your viewing pleasure. Don't forget this Saturday night... Tony February 1, 1999Hi guys, Welcome to your new website! I'll spiff up the site over the next few days and again throughout the season as more information comes up. You should check back once or twice a week to stay informed. I haven't figured out how to set up a message board, but we'll get one soon. Meanwhile, feel free to use old-fashioned electronic communication and email each other. Everyone's email addresses can be found on this page. Here are the photos that I took yesterday - mostly unedited. If you want better quality photos (maximum compression for the bandwidth-challenged), ask me, I have them. For information about the Super-G on Monday Feb 15, click here. (Registration deadline Monday Feb 8, 1999) Congratulations
to Andrew Scott and Heather Bialkowski for they will be representing
you at the 1999 All-Stars! For more information about the All Stars,
click here. Lastly, a reminder to everyone that our team dinner will be this coming Saturday, February 6, 1999 at 6pm at East Side Marios in Collingwood. Plan for it to take a few hours as they don't take reservations. Everyone plan to be there or face Nick's wrath. (ask Lauren, it's not something you want to have to deal with!) Take care, Tony |
